DPH Project

One year after graduated, I have decided to continue my Bachelor. DPH costume is my first project in this term. This a charity Project for 25th Anniversary Hospice and they invited the president and few important person in Singapore to come and see the performance that they show.

Glow in the dark is the theme for this event. The outfit that we make also should inspired by shinny, geometric, spicy or futuristic looks. In this individual project, we need to make a comfortable outfit to dance and also can be seen in the dark. We choose EL wire to make the outfit glow in the dark.

In the proccess to making a toile, I use a chep jersey fabric. This fabric has a very light texture. It made me have a trouble ,when I try to sew the curve part.

After fail with jersey fabric my teacher told me to try in real fabric to make sure how it's look.

And gratefully it success. The real fabric has the simillar texture with muslin, so I use muslin to make a toile for the second time.

It is the picture a toile that I made. There some part that I need to fixed,

Shorteren the sleeve by 4 cm

1. Front Bodice:

- First the waist band must longer and wider

- Give extra 1 cm to the bodice (both side)

- Elimate the Front panel

- Change the shape of the Collar

2. Back Bodice:

- Give an new style line

- Make the bodice bigger by 1cm (both side)
