Capsule Collection (Primary Research)
August 30, 2017 I do my primary research. I go back to the ACM (Asian Civisilisation Museuum) to get more information about an object that inspired me. Luckily I met a guide named Jay. He is a American- Japanese. He explains about Japanese culture (EDO Period) and a little bit about Chinese Ceramics.

Here some information that I get. 1. Hierarchy - Samurai: the highest class during that time. Samurai can rule the same area. People I'm class as a work official policemen Government officials. - Farmer: they produced the food, but they lived under a crushing tax burden. - Craftman: Although they produce samurai's sword and beautiful goods, they are considered less important than the farmers. - Merchants: they are called as parasites, cause they get profited from peasant and artisan classes. They also live in the separate section of each city. Other higher classes were forbidden to mix with them except for business. 2. Closed Country Japan in this era did not do the trade to any other country especially West, except Netherland (Holland). It's because other countries like European believe in the Catholic religion and sometimes they are pursued or influence Japan and Tokugawa ( Ruled at that time) didn't like it, cause he wants to make Japan absolute with his power.
