Deconstruction and Reconstruction
We all know that people's perception about garment of fashion in an old way always must be flawlessly finished and enhance accepted definitions of beauty until there some designer broke that rule and create a very interesting garment with some technique. One of the technique is Deconstruction and Reconstruction. Deconstruction is the process is an intentional effort at unfinished forms that are coming apart, recycled or transparent. It’s a fashion item that looks unfinished. Rei Kawakubo, Karl Lagerfeld, Martin Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester and Dries Van Noten are the designers in this category Reconstruction is the process of making new clothes from the previously worn garment or preformed product.

Deconstruction and Reconstruction appeared because of the concern of people, especially in the fashion industry. Cloth factory in nowadays produce 60% more clothes than 10 years ago. It causes many waste cloth which also wasted the sources, both natural and human labor resources. Increase the wasted textiles can slow down unnecessary textile production, reduce landfill pressure and reduce the demand for natural resources.
To know better about this technique, my teacher told us to do an experiment about it. The project is to create a top by reconstructing an old pair of jeans.
Here some photo of my experiment :

At the first, I was very confused and I didn't know what I need to make for this project. When All my friend started to draping in the mannequin, I just staring at my old jeans and thought, what I'm gonna do with that. I'm not really good at draping. Suddenly Jay (my teacher) pass behind me and said just cut and make it. So I decided to cut it and started to drape, even though I still haven't known what I'm gonna made.

After draping the front bodice, I had an idea to make an eyelet for the back bodice to made it look interesting.

I used a silk ribbon to tie it.

I unpick the back patch pocket and moved it into the front.

To cover the waistband, I Tied it

After done with this project we need to present our work in front of the class.
For me this is not bery successsful work, cause for me the design of the front and the back bodice need to more related .
