-The origin story-

The Ballet of Nutcracker is a ballet performance that famous until this time. This idea of this ballet came from the classic Christmas Story.

The origin story of nutcracker comes from the Erzgebirge region of Germany. Written by the German author, E.T.A. Hoffman, it was originally called 'The Nutcracker and the King of Mice.' It was a gruesome story about a girl named Marie who falls in love with a nutcracker and leaves her real life to live in a world of dolls.

This story began when The Nutcracker is set at the house of the Stahlbaum family on Christmas Eve. The Stahlbaum children, Fritz and Clara, and their parents are having a Christmas party. Drosselmeyer, a toymaker and clockmaker who is also the godfather of the Stahlbaum children, arrives at the party.

While playing with it, Fritz purposely breaks the nutcracker, because he had jealous to his sister because that doll can crack a peanut. Clara was crying because of it, and her tears have fallen to the doll. Drosselmeyer magically fixes it. ![endif]--

After the children go to bed, Clara worries about the nutcracker, so she sneaks back to the Christmas tree and falls asleep holding him.

Clara wakes up at midnight. She shrinks until she's the same size as her toys, which come to life. Armies of mice appear with their leader, the Mouse King. The Nutcracker wakes up, and leads an army of toy soldiers into battle against the Mouse King and his army of mice. Although they fight bravely, the mice capture the Nutcracker and the toy soldiers.

[endif]--Clara wants to help, so she throws her slipper at the Mouse King, hitting him on the head. When the Mouse King dies, he's carried away by the mice, who run away from the soldiers. The Nutcracker turns into a Prince and takes Clara on a journey to the Land of Snow. ![endif]--

The Prince then takes Clara to the Land of Sweets, where they meet the Sugar Plum Fairy. They have a celebration that includes six dances: the Spanish, Arabian, Russian, Chinese and Mirilton Dances and then the Waltz of Flowers.

Finally, Clara wakes up from her dream and finds that she's at her own home, holding her nutcracker under the Christmas tree.
