Final Collection- Set 3
In this third set I made quiet many change from the toile into the real garment.
It's my original sketch for look 3. It consist of ruffles blouse with tie at the collar on the center front and with a wrap skirt.
As we can see after I made the toile, but it's look quiet different with what I imagine.
In my opinion the only thing that work quiet well in this look is the silhouette of the bodice.
Toile Correction :
1. Because the sleeve is not look good, so I need to thing other design for the sleeve.
2. Lower the drawsting into the hip level, so it can give more loose effect.
3. Move the tie of the collar into the back, because I already have a drawstring in the front, so it won't look too much.
4. Change the skirt into a circular skirt with pleats at the side and do a beading on it.
The side view of the sleeve. As we can see the ruffles doesn't weave really well and it make the sleeve puff, which it's not the silhouette that I want.
In the final decision I change the sleeve same as the first set.
Because I already use this fabric for pants in the first look, so I don't have much fabric. I need to measure the fabric that I have and make a pattern that can fit with it. Luckily It's enough to make a flare skirt with pleats.
I also learn a new thing in here. I just know that if there any sticker in the fabric is not stick in there without a purpose. It's means that there a damage in the fabric in that libe. So before we cut the fabric we need to check is there any damage in the fabric or not.
The other new thing that I learn is how to attach a horse-hair. First we need to running stich by 1cm and ion it. Place your horse-hair and hand-stitch it on the top and bottom part. You can also use a machine to stitch it but t will shown and I think It will not look nice.
After done sewing the skirt, I start to beading it. The reason why I do a beading is because I realize that my design is quiet simple, so I need something that make my design look more special and I decided to do it since I also like to do something with hand-sewing especially beading.
Here the final photo that I took for my final look of set-3. I also bead the collar because the top is quiet empty and I need something to make it more stand out.
