Final Collection- Set 4

At the first this set- 4 is consist of a jacket with a long skirt. But my lectuerer said that I need to make a blouse for the inside piece.

As you can see I try to make a ruffle blouse but it didn't work well. It make the look became bulky and full.

So I decided to make a basic blouse but use a lace fabric that same like what I use in my set-2

For the skirt I only have 3 yard fabric, so I need to make sure that is enough for make the long skirt with pleat at the side and also I need to repet this fabric in the next look.

Toile Correction

1. Erase the vent on the Jacket, is not unnecessary because the jacet is a crop jacket.

2. I sew the sleeve wrongly.

3. Give a lining for the skirt ( Polyesther Taffeta)

4. Give a side pocket for the skirt

After done with the skirt I need to decide what fabric that matchng with the skirt. The left side is a black silk wool while the right side is purple double side fabric. I finally choose the black fabric because I want to make the skirt look more special and pop-up. If I use a purple fabric for the jacket it will make the overall look become dull.

There's a mistake take I make, during I sew the jacket.

I both side of the seam allowence and I cut it near the stiching line. I suppose to slash the seam allowence only on one side of the bigger seam allowence and left a gap around 0.2 cm, so it will not tear.

For the inside blouse I decided to use a sam lace fabric as my set-2. As you can see this lace blouse can be worn in both side with different color.

I decided to put a feather and beading for the embellishment in this look, here is the beading idea for this set. I will put this beading on the hem of the sleeve.
